She was born on March 30, , in Brisbane, Australia. Stosur's father's name is Tony, and her mother's name is Diana. She also has two brothers, Dominik and Daniel.
Early Years
At the age of six, Stosur and her family moved from the Gold Coast to Adelaide after their home was destroyed by a flood. It was in Adelaide that she started playing tennis after her parents gave her a racket as a Christmas gift.
